About the awards

The Business Insider Made in Scotland Awards in partnership with the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS) champions all aspects of transformational discoveries and developments made in Scotland.


The Awards Evening

Date:  Thursday 18 May 2023, 6.30pm through to midnight

Venue:  Glasgow Science Centre, 50 Pacific Quay, Glasgow G51 1EA


Parking & Taxis

There are over 450 parking spaces at Glasgow Science Centre, including 28 disabled spaces and 6 electric charging stations. Tickets are issued at the entry barrier to the car park. Venue staff will validate these at the ticket desk so you don't have to pay to park for the duration of the event. Vehicles are not permitted to be left overnight in the car park and, if so, a charge will apply. There is a taxi rank located outside of the building between the Science Centre and the BBC. Sanjeev Kohli is the co-writer/co-star of award-winning Radio 4 comedy Fags Mags and Bags, has written for sketch shows Chewin’ The Fat and Goodness Gracious Me, has presented extensively on the BBC, & has written & recorded vocals for the musical project The Grand Gestures. He is best-known for playing shopkeeper Navid in Still Game for nine series on the BBC & three sell-out runs at The Glasgow Hydro, and Amandeep Jandhu in River City, but has also appeared in the likes of Cold Feet, Fresh Meat and Look Around You (where he played Synthesiser Patel), as well as being the star of the video for Elbow’s Lost Worker Bee. Sanjeev can currently be seen in the first series of Armando Iannucci’s Avenue 5 - opposite Hugh Laurie - on HBO, Magpie Murders on BBC and Chemistry of Death on Paramount+. He has just shot on feature film Fight or Flight, starring Josh Hartnett.

There will be a charity collection on the evening supporting The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice in Glasgow who are celebrating an amazing 40 years of care.
